The leather is genuinely soft and molded to my daughter's feet within a day, no break-in blisters at all. The fringeless collar looks a bit more grown-up than typical moccasins, which I didn't expect to care about but do.

Put these on my 10-month-old for a wedding and he never once tried to yank them off, which says a lot. The elasticized ankle keeps them snug without leaving marks, and the leather is buttery right out of the box.

The elasticized ankle makes these way easier to get on than his old lace-ups, and the leather has that soft, broken-in feel right out of the box. Only wish the soles had a bit more grip for our slick kitchen floors, but they've held up fine for everyday crawling and cruising.
