The velvet finish feels so soft against my daughter's feet, and they've held up through a few messy outings already. The elastic strap keeps them on without leaving marks, which is more than I can say for her other shoes.

The criss-cross elastic strap actually stays on my wiggly nine-month-old, which I didn't expect from a ballet flat. They look dressy enough for a wedding but she naps in them fine.
